Emmaus Mossley is a charity that supports people who have experienced homelessness by providing them with a home, companionship, tailored support and work opportunities. We don’t just give people a bed for the night; our support is longer term. Working together, we give people stability, confidence, experience and life-changing opportunities. Within the Emmaus Mossley community and social enterprise, we harness everyone’s potential to help them discover options for a better future. Our community is home for upto 26 people at any given time, with each person supported to build their confidence, self-esteem, skills and work experience to achieve their goals. The Emmaus Mossley social enterprise is centred around our large Secondhand Superstore where we collect, process and sell a wide range of donated items. Our Secondhand Superstore and Lucie's Cafe generates the majority of funding that sustains our community and provides valuable work experience to the people we support.
