Hamers Arms
About
A Traditional English Pub just opened after a significant and full refurbishment, have a look at the pictures of how it looks today. The Hamers is a community centric pub where everyone is invited to chill, have a bite to eat and drink with great friends and make some new ones along the way. It was renamed to Hamers Arms in 1848 to honour Richard Hamers passing who had brought prosperity to the area buying the 4 Summerseat Mills from Sir Robert Peel as he relocated, Richard set about building housing, a school for vulnerable children and a church. It was renamed by the then Publican Bernard Wolstenholme so it is only fitting that another Wolstenholme reopens it some 174 years later. It’s steeped in history, we have a quality food and drinks offer, come and give us a try.
