About
Manchester Museum, part of the University of Manchester, is a free‑entry natural history and science museum that has been welcoming visitors for over 130 years. Its vast collection of more than 4 million objects spans human culture, archaeology, zoology and palaeontology, and the museum recently underwent a £15 million transformation to modernise its galleries and exhibition spaces. The museum offers a range of free exhibitions and events, including interactive learning programmes for schools, families and young people. With regular opening hours from 10 am to 5 pm on most days (and 8 am on Saturdays), it welcomes visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
