Local Family Friendly. Food Pub. Cask Ales Dog Friendly. Kareoke and Quiz Nights The pub was established in 1800's originally named the Hare and Hounds. Later changing its name to coinside with the land owners estate, becoming Stamford Arms. The building has undergone changes to change the downstairs accommodation into part of the pub along with the inclusion of the cart house on its back. The pub has many breweries ownership of the building including Gartsides and currently Thwaites. The pubs coat of arms bares the motto 'A Ma Puissance' meaning "according to my power" it is the motto of the Grey family who were the Earls of Stamford and prominent landowners in the town. The pub is currently tenanted and licensed by Rebecca and James. Whom moved to the pub in 2019 with their 3 children.
