Whitworth Art Gallery

The Whitworth is part of the University of Manchester. It is home to some of the UK's finest collections of art and design including modern and historic fine art, prints, textiles and a rare collection of wallpapers. We also offer free daily highlights tours of the gallery, a varied family programme and lively Thursday Late events. While many of our exhibitions are made up from works in our permanent collection, to ensure proper conservation of our artworks and to allow for new works and acquisitions to be displayed in our rotating programme, we do not have any artworks on permanent display.
