Swn yr Afon (sound of the river) phonetically: soon-err-ahvon is a lovely home in a quiet leafy part of Brecon town, close enough to stroll the five-minute walk to all the shops, restaurants & pubs. The theatre is also close, as are the canal walking paths. We are far enough away to hear the quiet sound of the birds and the evening song & bells of the Cathedral that frames your view from your bedroom and our lovely garden. Swn yr Afon is not one of your commercial hotels (we did that for fifteen years before opening our latest home to guests). It’s somewhere that you can enjoy a home from home break “but” with all the comfort of a top hotel combined with the wealth of knowledge from us with over 50 years of hospitality experience.
