Roseberry Topping is a distinctive hill rising to 1,049 ft (320 m) in the North York Moors, just north of Great Ayton. Its iconic half‑cone shape and jagged cliff have earned it a reputation as Yorkshire’s “Matterhorn”, and the summit offers panoramic views over the Cleveland coast, the north of England and even the North Sea on a clear day. Managed by the National Trust, the site is open all day every day, with a car‑park fee that covers parking and access to the trails.
