This is Yorkshire’s 4th highest mountain, part of a ridge that runs up from Mallerstang Common, south of Kirkby Stephen, and looking out onto the Dales and Howgill range. It has a dramatic landscape that dominates the sky line in all directions. There are a series of cairns at the top, “ Stone Men” from back to medieval times. It has a number of routes to the top, all extremely rewarding .
