Calico Barn

Calico Barn is a converted barn on a working Northumbrian Farm sleeping groups of up to 16-18. The Barn was converted and restored in 2016 with the aim of active groups in mind. It is the ideal space for retreats and family/friend groups to stay. There are 3 main bunkrooms that sleep 6,4 and 4 in each as well as two small single cabin rooms that are ideal for group leaders (note that there are actually 2 bunks in these small cabin rooms but have restricted access to the top bunks so we recommend the for single guests). The bedrooms are serviced by 3 individual shared bathrooms with a loo, basin and shower in each. Calico Barn is situated on a working farm which also houses a seperate wedding venue / events barn and is available for booking when weddings are not taking place. It is the ideal spot for beach lovers and outdoor enthusiasts as it is a short walk across a private field to a beautiful sandy beach called Druridge Bay. The Sustrans Cycle Route 1 passes the entrance and there are walking routes including the Northumberland Coast & Castles Rout and the England Coast Path running past the farm. There are plenty of activity providers up the coast and watersports in abundance.
