During the Covid pandemic we're operating as a Takeaway only Normally a Takeaway, Cafe/ Restaurant in a quiet village near the Brecon Beacons, The Fish & Chip shop is one of about 250 in the UK with The National Federation of Fish Friers QUALITY AWARD after a scrutiny of our methods, practices and a food tasting. We also hold the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) chain of custody accreditation for the use of sustainable Cod, Hake, Haddock and Plaice. MSC Cod is available at all times others subject to availability. There are only 5 Fish & Chip shops in Wales that hold this certification, Penalunas became Regional Winners - Wales 2015 & 2018 Winners of Staff Training & Development 2018, Winners of the best Seafood week Campaign 2020 at The National Fish & Chip Awards organised by Seafish, the countries authority on seafood, meeting exceptionally high standards examined by mystery shoppers and audit.
