The award‑winning Hanahana in Newcastle offers an authentic Japanese teppanyaki experience. Guests sit at eight stainless‑steel grill stations and watch skilful chefs perform sizzling cook‑show performances while preparing steak, shrimp, okonomiyaki, yakisoba and monjayaki. The restaurant opens for lunch from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and is closed on Mondays (except bank holidays). Reservations are taken by phone only.
