The Swan Country House retreat is a converted farmhouse surrounded by the spectacular Cambrian mountains. A stone’s throw away from the vast Elan Valley Estate with its many walking and bike routes, reservoirs, rivers, Victorian dams, woodlands and much, much more. The bustling town of Rhayader is a short drive away offering a variety of gastro pubs, food and craft shops. The ancient coastal university town of Aberystwyth is an hour’s drive along one of the best driving roads in Wales through breath-taking scenery. With its charm-filled quirky interiors, this inviting dog friendly country house offers a peaceful and secluded base for families and friends wishing to explore the stunning Welsh countryside or celebrate a special occasion in style. Sleeping up to 8 people in good-sized bedrooms, one with a large balcony overlooking the hills and four bathrooms, one of which is downstairs. There is large conservatory with panoramic views of the mountains with a 14 foot oak dining room table and comfy lounge area. The TV room with its vintage James Bond film posters and log burner is perfect to snuggle up and watch a film or two on the 42” Smart TV and an ideal room for children to have some space whilst the adults relax in the conservatory.
