About

The museum is in Repps with Bastwickclose to the River Thurne. It is home to a unique collection of historic wind power machines. We have working demonstrations showing Norfolk's drainage history, full size wind pumps from the UK and abroad. There are children's activities, an indoor museum full of models and historical stories of mills and the Heritage Tea Rooms. We open from Easter to May on Friday & Saturday & June to September on Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 11 am - 3.30 pm We hold personal and informative guided tours and working demonstrations. There are several events throughout the year, please check our website and social media accounts. New! From June is our Norfolk in a Nutshell circular walks - the walks are free* and include a guide, riverbank walking, entrance to 200 year old Thurne Mill and a wander back through the woods - see website for full details. (*museum entrance is charged at £5 per person) We also offer Vintage teas on our Friday open days.
