Nottingham Contemporary, the city’s flagship contemporary art gallery, invites visitors into a dynamic space of experimentation and conversation. Since its grand opening in 2009, the museum has hosted over 50 exhibitions and become a cultural hub for artists, scholars, and the community. The striking green‑gold building, designed by Foster + Partners, offers flexible exhibition spaces, a contemporary performance venue, and a thriving café called Blend at Contemporary. Free entry is available to all visitors, with optional donations welcomed at the reception. Visitors can explore a range of programming—from large‑scale international shows to educational programs for families, young people, and schools. The venue also offers guided tours, a BSL exhibition tour, and community workshops that showcase art’s role in social change. With its central location on Weekday Cross, Nottingham Contemporary is easily accessible by public transport and encourages visitors to arrive during weekdays (Tuesday‑Friday, 10 am–5 pm), Saturdays (10 am–6 pm) or Sundays (11 am–5 pm). The café remains open daily from 10 am–5 pm (shifts of 9:30 am–5 pm on weekends).
