Recently refurbished to a very high standard, the Waggon & Horses in Redhill is surely a pub everyone in Nottingham should know, with its great location at the top of Mansfield Road. If you haven't spotted the fantastic job local pubco the Pub People Company have done recently then it's definitely time you checked it out. The exterior has undergone a fantastic transformation with a big paint job and new signage, as well as some beautiful outdoor furniture and a revamped smoking shelter. Moving indoors the pub looks incredible with a fantastic redecoration job making the pub feel like a very traditional ale-house yet retaining some very modern qualities. The addition of a new cask pump onto the bar means they now sell five cask ales permanently, with at least two being LocAle's from breweries such as Blue Monkey, Castle Rock, Nottingham Brewery and Dancing Duck. Every month a showcased Brewery Of The Month is featured in a large selection of Pub People pubs including the Waggon & Horses, and more details can be found on their brand new Facebook page simply search for Waggon & Horses Redhill. The biggest change, though, has to be the opening of the kitchen and introduction of a full menu during lunchtimes. You can expect to see great value traditional meals such as Braised Steak, Lasagne, Fish & Chips and Wholetail Scampi as well as a daily selection of freshly made sandwiches.
