Charming single-storey, spacious cottage tastefully converted from a traditional 18th century milking parlour. The gardens are beautifully landscaped with an orchard and herbaceous borders. The cottage has its own drive and plenty of off road parking. The interior is tastefully furnished with both modern and antique furniture and the paintings are either from Penny's studio or by her friends. The sitting room has two comfy settees, a cosy wood burner and French windows opening out onto a terrace with lovely views. The spacious kitchen/diner is open plan with ample crockery and cooking equipment. The bedrooms and bathroom are large and stylish and the whole building has a Mediterranean atmosphere of space, warmth and tranquillity. A well-behaved dog is always welcome. Outside there is a patio with barbeque and the well-maintained garden has a lawn smooth enough for a game of croquet which, along with tennis racquets and surf boards are all in the little garden shed. Simon and Penny are on hand to help their visitors enjoy all the benefits of the area. They provide a welcome pack of scones and clotted cream, wine, milk, fresh cut flowers and local newspaper. they can also take delivery of any internet shopping prior to arrival. Penny is a working artist and has her studio at Tregonebris where she paints and sells her work. Visitors are welcome to call in and browse.
