"Seawards" is in a spectacular coastal location up a quiet private lane on the edge of the small unspoilt village of Perranuthnoe and very close to Perranuthnoe Beach, West Cornwall . It is 2 miles east from the well known seaside holiday destination of Marazion. "Seawards" has outstanding south westerly coastal views over Mounts Bay and beyond towards Marazion, Mousehole, Newlyn and Penzance all in West Cornwall . From the property it is a four minute, virtually traffic free, walk to the safe, sandy beach of Perran Sands and five minutes walk to the centre of the village with it's excellent pub, cafes and galleries. Seawards offers well equipped, contemporary, light and airy accommodation for up to 8 people. The main bungalow has 2 bedrooms , 1 bath/shower room and 1 ensuite shower room and offers spacious accommodation for 4 people. If accommodation is required for more than 4 people , the annexe offering another 4 beds ( 1 king and 1 set of bunk beds) and a shower room, can be made available, at an additional per person, per night cost. Our changeover day is Friday. The living accommodation located at the front of the bungalow consists of a large light well equipped kitchen/dining room with views towards the sea and a large separate sitting room with comfy sofas, chairs, TV/DVD and wood burning stove. The kitchen and the sitting room have panoramic coastal views with sliding doors opening directly onto the decking with garden furniture and BBQ for outdoor dining. The 2 bedrooms in the bungalow are located at the rear of the property as follows: Bedroom 1: super king bed OR 2 singles, with ensuite shower room Bedroom 2: king size bed with bath/shower room opposite. The annexe is located 6 metres across a paved courtyard which leads off the side door of the kitchen/dining room. Bedroom 3 (annexe): king size bed and bunk beds with ensuite shower room (available at an extra, per person cost, if more than 4 people) The annexe is generally only available when there are more than 4 people staying. However, should you wish to use it for any reason with only 4 people staying please ask. In this instance there would be an extra charge applied. OUTSIDE: Between the bungalow and the annexe there is a secluded, sheltered courtyard with outdoor furniture. A delightful sun trap, just right for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The wooden decking at the front of the bungalow also has outdoor furniture and is the perfect place to enjoy the lovely views by day or watch the sun go down in the evening. There is parking for 3 cars opposite the front of the property with a small lawn area adjacent. Perran Lane , which leads to "Seawards" is a small lane/track servicing only a handful of the other properties, with only occasional car. It is therefore extremely quiet so all you will have to disturb you is the sound of the waves or the call of the birds. The Cornwall and South West Coastal paths (in both easterly and westerly directions) are within one minute's walk enabling you to explore this magnificent area of natural beauty with ease. "Seawards" therefore offers an excellent base from which to enjoy the perfect Cornish seaside holiday with all that West Cornwall has to offer close at hand. BRIEF SUMMARY OF LOCAL EXCURSIONS: PERRANUTHNOE: has 2 cafes (one located at the top of the steps leading down to the beach) and one in the centre of the village. "The Victoria" Inn, one of Cornwall's oldest pubs, serves delicious food and drink located in the heart of the village, just a short walk from the property as is the ancient church of St Piran .There are also craft and art galleries with displays from many talented local artists. MARAZION: 2 miles away is the ancient town of Marazion , dominated by the famous "St Michael"s Mount" open to the public and run by the National Trust. From the centre of the town the cobbled causeway leads to the The Mount at low tide or at high tide you can take "a hobbler" (a small water taxi which will ferry you across). The town also has local cafes, pubs, restaurants, local shops, and galleries . PENZANCE: The larger town of Penzance is 5 miles away has 3 supermarkets, several restaurants, shops, cinema and regular ferry crossings to the Isles of Scilly and mainline station to London Paddington and elsewhere. PORTHLEVEN: 6 miles away is a delightful traditional Cornish fishing village with enclosed harbour, providing a safe haven from many winter storms. Increasingly Porthleven is becoming home to many well known restaurants and now hosts the Porthleven Music and Food Festival. ST IVES: 5 miles away is picturesque St Ives with it's harbour, beaches and well known "Tate Gallery" and many other galleries including the Barbara Hepworth Sculptor Garden display works from many famous artists, sculptors and potters is also a short drive.
