Loch of the Lowes Visitor Centre and Wildlife Reserve
About
The Loch of the Lowes Visitor Centre, situated just north of Dunkeld in Perth and Kinross, invites visitors to experience one of Scotland’s most biodiverse wildlife reserves. Spanning 130 hectares of loch, woodland and wetland, the centre showcases a thriving array of birds—particularly breeding ospreys, red squirrels, otters and beavers—alongside interactive displays that illuminate the loch’s natural history. With three observation hides, a live webcam, a café and a gift shop, tourists can enjoy a 90‑minute exploration of the reserve or simply relax in the tranquil surroundings. The centre is open daily from 10.00‑17.00 between March and October, and on Fridays through Sundays from 10.30‑16.00 during the winter months, with an entry fee charged to non‑Scottish Wildlife Trust members.
