Flag Fen Archaeology Park Located on the eastern outskirts of the city, this Bronze Age site dates back 3,500 years. Comprising ******* horizontal and 60,000 vertical timbers, this prehistoric engineering feat is configured in 5 rows forming a causeway. An island part way along it was once believed to be spiritually significant. The visitor centre explains the site’s meaning and importance and houses many artefacts that were recovered from this valuable site. ★ Railworld Wildlife Haven This nature park and railway museum is open on certain days between February and October. If you’re a model railway enthusiast or have children, you’ll love the OO model railways which changes on a yearly basis. Outdoors, the wildlife park is home to over 250 native species including hedgehogs, bees and birds. ★ Elton Hall and Gardens Located 8 miles to the south west of the city, this baronial hall has been owned by one family since the 1660s. The architecture of the property goes back to the 15th century, with Gothic windows on its south façade.
