Steve and Sarah welcome you to their 4 star rated Self Catering accommodation at Barker Stakes Farm, Pickering. Located in a quiet haven of North Yorkshire, our holiday lodges and self catering cottages are set within 16 acres on the banks of Pickering Beck, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the moors where you can enjoy a relaxing holiday, go bird watching, take one of the many pleasant walking or cycling routes or explore 800 yards of trout/grayling fly fishing onsite . We have 16 self catering lodges sleeping 2 to 6 people many with hot tubs. We have 4 one bedroom self catering cottages and a two bedroom cottage converted from the original farm buildings You can let your children run off some energy on our play park with slides, swings and climbing net, enjoy a game of croquet or boules on the lawn or giant Geronimo Jenga in the courtyard. For the athletic among you football is available on the field. You will find table tennis, table football and pool in the games barn or how about a game of swing ball or giant connect 4. Come and see our friendly farm animals, alpacas, goats, ponies, rabbits & guinea pigs. Take a stroll through the Orchard, past the stables and down by the pond where you will find an abundance of wildlife, ducks, moorhens and even the odd swan or heron. Pickering is the Gateway to the moors and our location is an ideal base for trips to the Yorkshire Coast. It is a short ride from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Eden Camp, Flamingo Land, York, Scarborough and Whitby
