About
A courageous conversion has made the engine house of a former mine a lovely and interesting Landmark. Standing by a stream in a steep wooded valley leading down to the Tamar, the mine worked on and off from 1822 to 1900. Danescombe Mine can be booked for short breaks with the Landmark Trust, a charity that restores historic buildings at risk and makes them available for holidays.
