Nestled around a courtyard garden are four beautiful stone-built barn conversions, with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. The four cottages at East Trenean Farm offer high quality comfortable accommodation, with modern facilities. The cottages are ideal for families and friends to gather, with the added luxury of private hot tubs and gardens. A place to relax in a ‘get away from it all' location, yet only 3 miles from the fishing town of Looe and its beach. The larger cottages are converted ‘bank barns', Grade ll Listed and include a former water mill. Our luxury spacious cottage for 2 was the cow shed, the Linhay. All have individual character and original features including thick stone walls and exposed wooden beams, oak floors and doors and are furnished with a mix of antique and contemporary furniture, rugs, paintings and wall art. The cottages have BT Fast Broadband with an Open Mesh Wi-Fi network. The cottages are non-smoking. The Corn Barn sleeps 8, Threshing Barn sleeps 6, Water Mill sleeps 4 and Linhay sleeps 2. The 10 spacious bedrooms are all double rooms, nine have super-king beds and one a king-sized bed. All can be split into two single beds and arranged as twin rooms. All bedrooms have wardrobe space, chests of draws, mirrors, bedside tables with lamps and hair dryers. In the two largest cottages, bedroom 1 has an en-suite shower room. In all cottages bedroom 1 has a Freeview T.V. Most bedrooms have doors leading to either a garden or the courtyard with furnished patio areas, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee! Towels and linen are included. The full bathrooms are fitted with WC, washbasins, large shower cubicles, baths and heated towel rails. The modern kitchens are well equipped with everything you may need and include the added luxury of espresso coffee machines. The cottages have electric ovens and hobs, fridge freezers, dishwashers, microwaves, kettles, toasters, electric blenders and whisks. Each cottage has a washing machine, iron and ironing board. The 2 larger cottages also have separate WCs. Tea towels and oven gloves are provided. The lounge areas are comfortably furnished with sofas and chairs, side and coffee tables and have flat screen Freeview TVs with streaming sticks and DVD players. There are also Wii game console with a selection of games in the 2 largest barns. The 3 largest barns have feature wood burning stoves, for those cosy evenings in. Each cottage has a selection of board games, puzzles, DVDs and books, for the enjoyment of our guests during their stay. There is also DAB FM radio with blue tooth speaker so you can connect your mobile devices and listen to your own music. Families are welcomed and our cottages are suitable for children. For those with babies and toddlers on request we can provide items for during your stay which include travel cots, highchairs and stair gates, so to lighten the load when packing! On the paddock field we have play equipment for our families to enjoy including a range of swings with a baby seat, a ‘ship' climbing frame with a play cabin below and a wave slide, football goals and plenty of grass to run around on or even play cricket and have a picnic! Our hens are free range, enjoying the gardens and fields, and provide eggs for our welcome baskets. Our young visitors (and grown-ups) are welcome to help ‘call in' and feed the hens with corn each evening. The private gardens have lawns and beds stocked with perennials and flowering shrubs, garden dining furniture with parasols, as well as charcoal BBQs. Perfect places to enjoy morning coffee or to enjoy the late afternoon sunshine with a glass of wine! Each cottage has a fabulous hot tub, perfect for relaxing - maybe after a day walking, exploring or even surfing. We ask that you bring your own swimming towels. We use environmentally friendly cleaning products at East Trenean Farm and look after our gardens and land in a way as to protect wildlife. Our tap water comes from our own spring-fed borehole, which is filtered, and UV treated. So, no need to buy bottled water while here, our spring water is on tap! Our guest car park has EV charging points for each cottage and storage for guest equipment such as bikes and kayaks. The farm fields are grazed by sheep, so sorry, no dogs. Short breaks of 3 or 4 nights and 2 night weekends are available most of the year. Low season there is a minimum 3 nights stay. Arrival days are usually Monday or Friday from 4pm. Departure time is 9.30 am except for late Sunday departures for a 2 night weekends, when available.
