Longthorns Farm
About
Longthorns Farm is a family‑run, award‑winning Dorset campsite nestled next to the world‑famous Monkey World and the stunning Jurassic Coast. Open all year, the site offers a relaxed, back‑to‑nature experience for campers, glampers and visitors alike. With large, well‑maintained pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, you can enjoy campfires, stargazing and quiet evenings while exploring the woodland walks that run through the farm. The farm is especially famous for its herd of alpacas, a host of other farm animals and the ‘Alpaca Experience’ – a guided walk through the woods that provides a unique interaction with the animals. Visitors can also purchase Alpaca Experience vouchers or adopt alpacas from the Gold, Silver or Bronze adoption programmes. A range of glamping options is available, including Shepherd’s Huts, Eco‑Pods and TipeeCo tipis, all equipped with basic amenities and solar power. Late‑check‑in and 24‑hour reception keeps the site friendly and accessible, while a fully stocked farm shop and a barn bar offer food, drinks and local products, especially during peak season. Whether you’re looking for a quiet holiday by the sea, a family adventure with animals, or a romantic night under the stars, Longthorns Farm offers a true countryside escape.
