Browns Golf & Pluto's Cafe
About
Browns golf was established in 1932 by the Kennedy family. Sir Henry Cotton, 3x British open champion, designed 2 courses in his lifetime- one was Browns golf course. The courses: 18 holes white short putting greens 18 holes long putting greens 12 hole pitch and putt Prices range from £5 to £7.50 Pluto's cafe ( newly named) recognises the incredible achievement in WW2 - operation PLUTO, Browns golf still hosts the generators that pumped fuel through a pipeline under the ocean to France for the DDay landings. Browns disguised the engineering works with a ice-cream factory. Winston Churchill recognised this as an incredible engineering of our time. The cafe is open 10-5 and aims to provide a friendly welcoming venue for all ages. The venue now sells the same ice cream as it once did in 1940's.
