The Living Rainforest
About
The Living Rainforest is a dynamic indoor tropical rainforest centre located in the picturesque village of Hampstead Norreys, West Berkshire. Across its 850‑plus species of plants, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and mammals—including a sloth, a caiman, and a rainbow of butterflies—visitors experience the sights, sounds and smells of a living rainforest. Guided keeper experiences, animal feeding sessions, and an interactive digital map help guests identify and learn about each species. The museum’s spacious glasshouses are climate‑controlled, ensuring visitors can explore year‑round from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. A contemporary café and gift shop offer refreshments and souvenirs, while designated stroller, wheelchair, and pushchair access make the site family‑friendly for all ages. A Rainforest Pass provides unlimited, year‑long entry and can be purchased online or at the door, with flexible arrival‑time booking to manage crowd flow during peak periods.
