The Yorkshire Beer Experience Situated at the Gateway to Wensleydale, Masham is the home of Black Sheep Brewery.The Black Sheep Brewery was established in the early nineties and it's first brews were sampled in 1992.Visitors will appreciate the timeless feel of the Black Sheep Brewery as traditional brewing methods and antique vessels are still used.Paul Theakston, 5th generation of Masham's famous brewing family, saw an opportunity to develop his inherited skills by making real beer in the time-honoured fashion. Originally introduced to pubs in and around the Yorkshire Dales, Black Sheep beers are now available not only across the uk but around the world.At the Black Sheep Brewery Visitor Centre, visitors will discover how Black Sheep brews its fine beers on a 'Shepherded' tour. They can sample the award winning ales in the Black Sheep Baa...r, enjoy a meal in the Black Sheep Bistro and browse for that special present in the Black Sheep Shop.
