Nosterfield Local Nature Reserve is generally regarded as North Yorkshire’s premier wetland grassland site for wildlife. Breeding lapwings, redshanks and even avocets; also impressive numbers of wintering waterfowl. Over 300 species of plants, inc. orchids, thousands of cowslips and >1,500 species of insects!1,500m of footpaths. Two main bird hides connected by good disabled access. No WCs.
