We are a warm and welcoming pub with 7 bedrooms in the centre of Bedale, a thriving Market town located just 5 minutes from the A1M in North Yorkshire. We (Claire and Steve) took over the Green Dragon on 4th September 2023 and look forward to welcoming you into our home and business. Room prices include a hearty Yorkshire breakfast and we serve lunch and dinner in the restaurant or pub ( whichever you prefer) on a daily basis. The menu includes all your favourite pub classics including out legendary Steak Pie and our fresh baked home made Pizzas as well as options for Vegetarians, Coeliacs, Vegans etc. We also have a great range of cask ales, all your usual favourite drinks and a few you may have not tried before - I wonder what we can tempt you to try?! Children and well behaved dogs are welcome and all of our en-suite bedrooms are individually furnished and decorated. Due to the building being a Grade II listed building our rooms are only accessible by stairs meaning the rooms may be unsuitable for any guests with mobility issues. Claire grew up in, and has lived in Bedale for 50 years. She has a wealth of local knowledge and is happy to share this with you to help you choose whether you go North, South, East or West as you head off to explore the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, the fabulous Yorkshire Moors or the Yorkshire coast.
