Hepple Wilds Estate
About
Hepple is a 4000 acre upland rewildling estate, encompassing half of the stunning Simonside Hills. The site is home to a rich variety of wildlife, with orchids and heather blooming through the summer, and a huge mix of birds visiting the site year-round. Since 2020 we have been managing the site with a sole focus on biodiversity and we graze the site with some iconic beats; highland cattle, exmoor ponies and hairy pigs! Booking is essential to visit. We run a series of nature-focused guided walks and experiences, including professional courses and workshops such as photography classes. Private, bespoke days out with our resident naturalist guide are available and include a locally sourced picnic lunch to be enjoyed out in the wilds. We share the site with our sister company, Hepple Spirits, who produce premium quality gin from our home-grown juniper. Visits to the small-scale distillery can be arranged and incorporated into any of our private visits.
