Located in the picturesque village of Robin Hood's Bay, next door to the Wayfarer and close to the Victoria Hotel. West Royd was historically run as a traditional bed and breakfast for over 20 years. Following the retirement of the previous owners, it is now run exclusively as a 'room only' Air BnB. There are up to 3 guest rooms available, each offering an old world Victorian charm with the advantage of all mod cons. West Royd was built about 1900. At one point in its history it was the local Barclay’s Bank. Following this, it became a residential dwelling, which was later converted to and operated as a traditional bed and breakfast, before closing as a B and B a short while ago when the previous owners retired. In recent years, it has been extensively modernised but still retains its old world Victorian charm. Although West Royd was previously run as a successful bed and breakfast, it is now principally a family home which only offers a 'room only' residential service - although ‘continental breakfast’ self services (included in the price) are available to you - these include: - A selection of cereals; - Bread/toast and a selection of preserves; - Fresh fruit; - Fruit juice; and - Fresh milk, tea and coffee. What We Do: When you book a room at West Royd, you can expect a high quality clean room, double bed (of course!) with fresh linen and towels, state of the art entertainment systems and all other mod cons with the added benefit of 24x7 access. Rooms are available from 2pm on the day of arrival and ‘checkout’ on your last day is 11am - enjoy the lay in after a night out at the pub! What We Don’t Do: We do not provide a cooked breakfast service and we do not make up your room on each day of your stay. The room is yours to care for for the duration of your booking, although we are always on hand if you need a refresh of any of the room contents or any help or advice. Parking: We have two onsite parking spaces available on a first come first served basis - although we can provide parking permits which offer free parking in the two main local car parks. Dogs: Whilst we do not normally cater for dogs, (other than assistance dogs), small breeds are considered on a case by case basis, please contact us to discuss arrangements and additional charges. Please be aware that we have a small dog of our own but he’s very friendly and quiet and does not go into the guest areas - but if you have a pet allergy it may be worth discussing this with us prior to your booking.
