A popular site in North Yorkshire, Richmond Hargill House Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite in Gilling West, Richmond has magnificent views southwards over the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The national park is also the area where landscape artist J M W Turner travelled, painted and found the subjects for some of his most unforgettable watercolours. The local Tourist Association publishes a Turner Trail leaflet for walkers to explore, with seating placed conveniently at many of the locations from which to view the beautiful scenery that inspired his legendary images. The Club camp site is also well placed to visit the city of Durham, with its iconic cathedral.
