The Redwell Inn offers 8 modern en-suite guest bedrooms, which have recently been refurbished. Free Wi-Fi, continental/cooked breakfast and free on-site parking. We are located in the historic market town of Barnard Castle, and within close proximity of the North Pennines. The Red Well has a wealth of history being a stones throw away from the holy well, a must see when visiting Barnard Castle. The Red Well name comes from the holy well's red appearance due to weathering and natural minerals expelled from beneath. The pub itself has been known as the watering hole for many years, where travellers from the 1800s would use the pub as a half way point.
