The Green Dragon is a traditional 17th-Century English village pub in Flaunden on the outskirts of Hemel Hempstead. Serving real ales and freshly cooked pizzas in the oak beamed restaurant which seats 50 or less formally in the bar areas. The Green Dragon - a freehouse often described by surprised delighted visitors as 'a proper local'. Certainly the relaxed ambience created by the beautiful, sympathetically-extended building is arguably enticing! The Dragon's spacious yet secluded country garden - a magnet for summer visitors - seats up to 250 visitors, who can enjoy the abaundance of birds and other wildlife, as well as a varied collection of fuchsias and even a walnut tree. Consistent with its rural heritage, dogs are always welcome at The Dragon - provided, of course, that they are well trained and behaved.
