Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum
About
The Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum, nestled in the scenic village of New Milton within the New Forest National Park, showcases one of the world’s most impressive collections of fully restored motorbikes. Since its opening in 1964, the museum has expanded into a 10 000‑sq‑ft, two‑storey extension added in 2020, and now houses over 400 rare and classic machines, ranging from factory racers and prototypes to the celebrated Norton collection and a delightful assortment of three‑wheelers and vintage bicycles. Guests can stroll through four thematically arranged galleries that chronicle the evolution of motorcycle technology, the exhilarating history of racing, and the personal journey of racing legend Sammy Miller himself, who founded the museum after a celebrated career in trials riding. The venue also features a charming courtyard, a cozy tea room, craft shops, a children’s play area, and a small farm‑animal exhibit, making it an engaging and family‑friendly destination for motorbike enthusiasts, history buffs, and curious travellers alike.
