Traditional family-run country pub in the Essex Countryside with 4 rooms. Under new ownership since March 2025. Nestled among the vineyards in Stow Maries, near Maldon in Essex with wonderful walks in every direction. We are farmers in the village and we serve our own beef and lamb. We also carefully source our other meat from the local area, along with local and seasonal ingredients. But, we are not a gastropub! We are a proper pub that serves proper, home cooked farmhouse food. We are also famous for our Real Ales, with 6 beer engines and a constantly changing and carefully selected range of unusual ale options. We also serve Local Wines from nearby vineyards.
