About

The Three Tuns was built in 1468 and has held an ale licence since 1764. Inside, you will find a crackling open fire and an award‑winning traditional‑style pub with a separate dining area serving fine restaurant food and an ever‑changing seasonal menu using the finest local produce. Whether you are looking for a fine dining experience or quality pub food, you will be sure to find something you like at The Three Tuns. Our chefs are highly trained, having spent much time working in France and as leading chefs in some of Kent’s finest establishments and hotels. A large beer garden at the rear of the pub provides a relaxing streamside decking area with plenty of seating and is the venue for an annual Summer Kentish Beer & Cider Festival. Mysterious and spooky stories are plentiful, and whispers of unexplained ghostly activities and secret tunnels are frequent talking points with the locals. The Three Tuns is a great place to meet friends and family and the perfect location for ramblers and dog walkers to start or end a walk in a surrounding area abundant with history and many public footpaths. Take a few steps from the Saxon Shore Way and enjoy a cream tea or a refreshing pint of Kentish real ale, lager or cider. Come and enjoy the best Kent has to offer. Swale CAMRA Pub of the Year 2024.
