Lower Shader is a convenient base from which to explore the North West of the island, or tour further afield on the island of Lewis and Harris. Location: Shader is on the A857, 15 miles from Stornoway, 4 miles North of Barvas, and 10 miles South of Port of Ness. Pass by the Upper Shader road end. Drive to Lower Shader road end. We are 160 metres from main road as you turn LEFT into Lower Shader.
