The family friendly exhibits contain; six coin hoards, a medieval log boat, bronze age weapons, and so much more. Situated behind the Town Hall, in the old police station, the museum uses relief maps to illustrate how the town has grown and changed over time. Using interactive displays, figures from the past tell stories about what life was like in Congleton during times of war, revolution, and disease. Key themes and events such as the English Civil War, the textile industry, and the First and Second World Wars are interpreted though the museums extensive collection of art, photographs, and objects.
