Logan Botanic Garden
About
Logan Botanic Garden, situated on Scotland’s south‑western tip near Port Logan, is a living testament to tropical horticulture and conservation. Thanks to the Gulf Stream, the garden enjoys an almost subtropical climate that allows rare palms, tree ferns, eucalyptus and giant gunnera to thrive in this 15‑acre paradise. The site includes the early Victorian Logan Conservatory – the UK’s first all‑green glasshouse – the tranquil Walled Garden with a fish pond, and a myriad of exotic plant displays that span the globe. Open from March to mid‑November, it offers visitors an immersive experience into plant science, education and sustainable gardening while showcasing the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh’s international research work.
