Lodge House B&B
About
Just off the A303 and half way between London and Cornwall yet Lodge House B&B is a quiet peaceful place to stay. The House dates back to 1760 and retains many original features such as wonky walls and nooks and crannies. We have 3 lovely double rooms. The Iris room on the first floor with a king sized bed and antique furniture and some modern touches. Adjacent is a private shower room with high spec shower. Up a different staircase and into the newly renovated section of the house you will find the Lilac room, also on the first floor. This has twin beds and an adjacent private shower room with high spec shower. On the 2nd floor is the Blue room, another king sized bed and an ensuite shower wet room. Due to an existing beam there is restricted head room in this shower, so not really suitable for anyone over 6 foot tall. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities and modern TV's. Wi fi is available and the Lilac room and Blue room have USB charging points. The room rate is £75.oo per night per room per 2 people. Breakfast is served from 8.00am to 9.30am and can be full English cooked breakfast using eggs from our own hens and bacon and sausages from local butchers/farms, or can be a lighter breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, fruit and toast made from home made bread. A vegetarian option is available and we also have gluten free cereal. Your host Kathy is a qualified complementary therapist so why not combine your stay with a treatment of Reflexology, Aromatherapy or Indian Head Massage? Buckland St Mary is a quiet, mainly dairy farming village, with a C of E parish church and primary school. There are 2 great pubs nearby for evening meals, The Candlelight in Bishopswood is within walking distance only 6/10ths of a mile from here and The Eagle Tavern on the A303 is a short drive away. Your hosts Kathy and Neil Arnold will do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible and trust you will leave Lodge House B&B feeling refreshed and rested.
