Shrewsbury Roman Catholic Cathedral is set in the heart of Shrewsbury, along the historic Town Walls. Opening in 1856, it was built by A. Pugin and Son. The Cathedral boasts wonderful stained-glass windows by renowned artist Margret Rope; as well as stunning gothic architecture. Mass is held at the Cathedral daily: Sunday - 8.30am, 11am & 6pm Mon - Sat - 12.15pm Confessions take place an hour before Mass. The Orchard Café sits within the Cathedral grounds and is open 7 days a week from 10am -3.00pm; offering a delectable range of home-made food by our resident chef. Fair-trade drinks, Vegetarian, Vegan & Gluten-free choices are available.
