Burnside Cottage + The Pig Shed is a stylish eco friendly B&B & Self-Catering Studio which was awarded the Gold Award from Green Tourism in 2022. Boasting an alcohol licence & offering an extensive breakfast and optional evening menu (very vegan friendly). All meals are served via room service and both suites have dining areas. New from March 2024 we have an alcohol licence & drinks menu showcasing local producers. There is also a self catering studio flat for two The Pig Shed. Situated in quiet countryside with outstanding views over looking Stroma and the Orkney Islands.Ideal location for visiting The Castle of Mey (Queen Mother's former residence) and only a few minutes away from Gills Car ferry for trips to Orkney. 10mins from John O’Groats. Dog friendly and we have secure storage space for motorbikes & cycles.
