Tally Ho
About
The Tally Ho Country Pub, situated in the picturesque village of Littlehempston just five minutes from Totnes, dates back to the 14th century. Originally built as a church house for parish workers, it survived the 18th‑century lightning strike that destroyed the village church and has now become one of South Devon’s most celebrated country pubs. Awarded CAMRA Country Pub of the Year in 2019 and 2020, the Tally Ho is renowned for its warm, historic ambience, a wide selection of local and craft ales, a refined wine list and hearty pub food made from locally‑sourced ingredients. The menu blends classic pub staples such as Sirloin steak, Venison Loin and Cornish lamb with more exotic options including Sticky Mango Monkfish Tail and Mediterranean fish stew. The kitchen is open for lunch (12‑2 pm and 6‑9 pm) and serves dinner from 11 am until midnight. A spacious garden and a free car‑park make it an ideal choice for families and travellers seeking a relaxed meal in the South Devon countryside, while friendly service ensures a welcoming experience for both locals and visitors alike.
