Cumbrian Heavy Horses is an award‑winning heavy‑horse riding centre nestled in the south‑west Lake District National Park. With a roster that includes the endangered Suffolk Punch, the Scottish Clydesdale, the English Shire, and future additions such as Belgium drafts, visitors experience a unique blend of tradition and adventure. Horses guide riders through scenic fells, beaches and valley lanes, offering sessions for all levels—from one‑hour beginner rides to full‑day “Hands‑On” days that end in the evening under a star‑lit sky. The farm also hosts a family‑friendly campsite, a cosy Roundhouse Airbnb lodge, and a small café, allowing guests to stay and savour the rural atmosphere.
