Hall's Croft
About
Hall’s Croft, the Jacobean home of Shakespeare’s beloved daughter Susanna and her husband Dr. John Hall, is a living testament to 17th‑century life in Stratford‑upon‑Avon. The house, built in 1613, has served as a school, a family home, and now a centre for learning and conservation. Visitors will discover the meticulously restored rooms, the beautiful summer garden, and the on‑site reading room where children and scholars alike explore Shakespeare’s heritage. The Trust is currently carrying out extensive conservation work to preserve the historic fabric of the building, and once completed, Hall’s Croft will welcome the public with new guided tours, educational programmes, volunteer opportunities, and a future viewing platform that will offer sweeping views of the surrounding green space.
