The Gresham is a family-owned and run guest house built in 1827 and situated right on the famous Weymouth Esplanade opposite the beautiful sandy beach and just around the corner from the picturesque harbour. Under new ownership from February 2021, The Gresham is currently being refurbished throughout. Our position on the Georgian seafront, close to the railway and bus stations, offers the perfect seaside getaway, a world away from the stress of modern life with many traditional British seaside treats on offer such as Punch and Judy shows, a land train, pedalos, and the popular child-friendly beach. The hotel caters to couples, families, and individuals in single, twin, double and family-sized rooms. We are also conveniently located for super countryside walks as well as strolls along the beach plus bike rides, water sports and other tourist activities along the iconic Jurassic coast. Nearby there are many attractive places to visit including the historic town of Dorchester, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Portland with its lighthouse. We are just minutes from some of the best cafes, restaurants, and bars in Dorset with freshly caught fish being a speciality of the town.
