Lime Tree Lodge provides 5-star luxurious and friendly accommodation with delicious gourmet breakfasts near the Jurassic Coast. Situated in Owermoigne, one of the most picturesque villages with walks from the door to the Jurassic Coastal Path. Close to Dorset’s Beaches, Weymouth, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Swanage, Studland and Sandbanks. Dorchester and Thomas Hardy Country and his birthplace are also close by. Owermoigne is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and close to the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Locality This exquisite house is in a quiet village location 150 yards off the A352 between the Saxon town of Wareham, gateway to the Isle of Purbeck and the Roman county town of Dorchester, home of Poundbury, Prince Charles’s venture into village/workplace design and development. Owermoigne is 10 – 15 minutes from the beaches of Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Ringstead Bay, Osmington and Weymouth. Monkey World and The Tank Museum are close by. The 2012 Sailing Olympics took place at the National Sailing Academy in nearby Weymouth bay and Portland harbour. We are situated close by and within easy walking distance to the centre of the Jurassic Coast of Dorset. The renowned sub-tropical gardens at Abbotsbury are to the west of Weymouth towards Bridport. Along the Jurassic Coast to the east is the Isle of Purbeck with Swanage and inland Corfe Castle and with Sandbanks, Poole and Bournemouth; to the west is Weymouth, West Bay (famous for the TV series Broadchurch), Charmouth and Lyme Regis. Lime Tree Lodge… .. is set in delightfully laid out continental style gardens and the use of the Italianate sun terrace provides a quiet and relaxing sitting area. A large conservatory overlooking the front of the property is available for those inclement days that occasionally occur enabling you to watch the flocks of garden birds which easily passes time when relaxing from exploring the local amenities and facilities. There is plenty of parking space on the gated front drive. Our large Bedroom Suites… .. each have views across the Dorset countryside and are equipped with large LCD TV, free WiFi, hairdryer, wine cooler refrigerator and courtesy tea and Nespresso coffee making facilities. In each suite there is a relaxing sitting area where you can relax with the little touches that we provide. All suites have luxury en-suite bathrooms. The three suites are named after famous localities – the Lulworth Cove Suite (a “super suite” new in 2016), the Portland Bill Suite and the Durdle Door Suite. A sumptuous gourmet breakfast is served in the sensational dining room between 8am and 9am. Where possible, local home made or organic produce is procured. We are well acquainted with nutrition and the needs for healthy eating. Coeliac needs, vegetarian options, special diets or various menu options with different times are available by prior arrangement. The quadruple dining room doors open onto the Italianate terrace where breakfast may be served in fine weather.
