The Old Ship Inn is an excellent choice for traveler's visiting Dorchester, Being the oldest pub in Dorchester where Thomas Hardy wrote some of his most famous novels it gives an insight into how life was back then, the tasteful decor gives the old ship a traditional feel of an old London pub. Food is served daily from 12pm. The Old Ship inn is a pet friendly venue with 4 letting rooms offering a flat screen TV in each room with tea and coffee making facilities, we have 2 chalet style rooms in our large beer garden, a Double room and a family room inside with a separate access at the rear of the pub Close to some of Dorchester's most popular landmarks, such as St Peter's Church Dorchester (0.1 mi) and Thomas Hardys monument.
