This charming, cosy, traditional lakeland cottage has stunning views down the peaceful Lorton Valley - one of the Lake District's hidden gems 8 miles from Keswick. Hot tub available for guests to rent. The cottage has striking oak beams throughout, a woodburning stove in the comfortable sitting room, a spacious and well-equipped kitchen/dinning room, and 3 bedrooms upstairs. The double bedroom has an ensuite shower room, the 2nd bedroom can be made up as a twin or a superking, and the 3rd bedroom is a single. The family bathroom also has a shower over the bath. Outside, the large garden shared with two other High Swinside Cottages and has stunning views out over the Lorton valley and towards Melbreak beyond Crummock Water. To the north lie the Scottish mountains. Well-behaved dogs are welcome and there is a dog run free area where they can be let off the lead away from any of the free range hens. Delicious fresh eggs are usually also available!
