About

The Meare Shop & Tearoom, is situated in the unique village of Thorpeness, on the beautiful Suffolk coast, right next to Thorpeness Meare. We serve hot & cold drinks, cakes (including our homemade scones), snacks like toasties, cheesy chips, pasties & bacon baps and a good range of gluten free, dairy free & vegan options. Our Ice Cream selection includes Mr Whippy, Bennets Scoop and wrapped ice cream & lollies from Magnums to Mini Milks. We have decided not to re-open inside for the 2021 season, but have plenty of seating outside, including a small sheltered area. Our patio and benches overlook the Meare - perfect for watching the boats and wildlife. We open at 9.30 - until about 6pm (or when most people have gone home). We serve food all day.
